LIPTON Teas and Infusions publishes its 2025 sustainability report

Amsterdam, 29th May 2026 – LIPTON Teas and Infusions has released its 2025 sustainability report, marking the company’s third annual sustainability report and providing a comprehensive update on progress towards its ambition to unlock the true value of tea within a generation.

The report outlines continued progress across the company’s three sustainability pillars, health and well-being, social impact, and environmental impact, and highlights how sustainability is being further embedded across the business.

Highlights for 2025 include:
- EcoVadis Silver Medal achieved for the first time, placing LIPTON Teas and Infusions in the top 10% of companies assessed globally
- Advancement of climate-smart agriculture and research, including partnerships with Cranfield University and the development of a tea-specific typology in the Cool Farm Tool
- Global scaling of the LIPTON Management System (LMS), acceleration of AI adoption, and maintenance of a strong safety culture, driving data-led efficiency and zero lost-time incidents
- Expansion of sustainable packaging solutions, reaching 87% recyclable packaging and 80% compostable teabags, with a goal of 100% by 2027
- Progress on living wage initiatives, including pilots in 2025 that closed 50% of the living wage gap with two Kenyan suppliers, as part of the ambition for everyone in the value chain to earn a living wage or income by 2040
- Strengthened human rights and supply chain due diligence, with 100% of suppliers (4,036 overall) onboarded to an AI-powered ESG risk monitoring platform, to enable continuous monitoring, improved risk identification and more proactive remediation across the value chain
